Wikipediaमंदाकिनी नदी, यमुना की एक छोटी सहायक नदी है जो मध्य प्रदेश से सतना जिले से निकल कर उत्तर प्रदेश में कर्वी में यमुना नदी में मिल जाती है। नदी की कुल लम्बाई लगभग 50 किमी है। नदी का हिन्दू धर्म में धार्मिक महत्व है और यह पवित्र माने जाने वाले स्थल चित्रकूट से होकर बहती है। नदी के तट पर रामघाट नामक एक घाट है जहाँ मान्यताओं के अनुसार श्रीराम ने अपने चित्रकूट निवास के दौरान स्नान किया करते थे।माता सती अनुसुइया ने अपनी तपस्य्या से इस नदी को अवतरित किया था
वर्ष 2016 में इस नदी में बाढ़ आने के कारण स्थानीय स्तर पर काफी नुकसान हुआ था।
