한국방송공사(韓國放送公社, 영어: Korean Broadcasting System, KBS)는 대한민국을 가시청권으로 하는 지상파 방송사이다. 1927년 2월 16일에 경성방송국으로 창립되었고 6년만에 1933년 4월 26일에 KBS 제2라디오를 개국했다. 1935년에는 조선방송협회를 결성하여 전국에 지역방송국을 설립하였다. 1947년에 서울중앙방송으로 이름을 바꾸었으며 같은 해 약칭을 KBS로 정하였고 1953년 8월 15일에 KBS 월드라디오를 개국하다 1961년 12월 24일에 시험방송을 실시하고 1961년 12월 31일에 TV 방송을 송출하기 시작하였다. 12…
