W latach 1971–1973 był aktorem Teatru im. Wojciecha Bogusławskiego w Kaliszu, w którym debiutował 9 października 1971 rolą Albina w komedii Śluby panieńskie Aleksandra Fredry. Następnie występował w Poznaniu, w latach 1973-1988 w Teatrze Nowym, a 1988–1991 – w Zespole Janusza Wiśniewskiego. W latach 2003–2004 był aktorem warszawskiego Teatru Polskiego. Występował też gościnnie na wielu scenach całej Polski.
Jako reżyser współpracował z wieloma teatrami w Polsce i za granicą.
