邱晨在就讀初中時開始自己摸索彈吉他，曾閱讀美國該邱斯博士的著作《樂理基礎》自學。就讀政大新聞系時擔任吉他社長，他自譜詞曲寫下包括〈小茉莉〉、〈風告訴我〉、〈看我聽我〉等歌曲。
